The Seven Catholic Holy Sacraments

Special Ceremonies for Experiencing
God's Saving Presence; an outward sign of an inward Grace

"4Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said: 5For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh." Matthew 19:4-5

MarriageMarriage is the matrimony and an institution of love, family life, and the foretaste of the Church's union with Christ. Like Holy Orders, sealed by God, Marriage is a Sacrament that consecrates for a particular mission in building up the Church. It is a sign of faithful love between man and woman- the horizontal covenant.

Meditation
PrayerLove is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated.
It is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury.
It does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.
1Corinthian 13:4-8
Amen.
