The Seven Catholic Holy Sacraments

† Introduction †

Special Ceremonies for Experiencing
God's Saving Presence; an outward sign of an inward Grace

Sacrament, a Latin word "Sacramentum", which means "sign of the sacred", are ceremonies through which we experience God's presence- an outward sign of an inward Grace. They are instruments of God's Grace that Points us to what Is Sacred, and embraces us into an intimate communion of Faith and Love that Christ Willed for us.

Let us contemplate on this fact; that they are instruments of God's Grace, instituted by Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Himself. So that we are drawn to see the example of our Lord through them, from the manger unto the open tomb; we would find ourselves inspired to love in humility, like that of Jesus, and to live our lives in obedience and trust in God our Heavenly Father, a life just like that of Jesus.
